Senator Cramer expressed his satisfaction with the recent announcement by the National Science Foundation regarding the awarding of over $3.2 million to three colleges in North Dakota through the Tribal Colleges and Universities Program. According to the Senator, the program aims to enhance the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) instructional and research capabilities of specific institutions of higher education.

The NSF grants have been allocated as follows: $1,536,078 to Turtle Mountain Community College, $898,948 to Sitting Bull College, and $817,578 to United Tribes Technical College.

This funding is expected to significantly benefit the STEM initiatives at these tribal colleges, providing them with resources to expand their educational programs and research opportunities.
