WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven recently voiced his opposition to the legislation aimed at reauthorizing the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). Hoeven expressed his concerns, stating, “We supported additional reforms to the FISA process that would have further ensured the privacy rights of Americans, however these amendments were blocked. For that reason, I did not support this legislation.” He further emphasized, “Going forward we’ll continue working to protect both the security and civil liberties of Americans.”
