No boosters are authorized for children under 5 yrs

Recommendations:

• Everyone ages 12 years and older is recommended to receive 1 age appropriate booster dose 2 months after their last dose of a Pfizer or Moderna primary series or booster dose.

• People cannot get a bivalent booster without first completing at least a primary series.

•Age-appropriate homologous and heterologous boosters allowed; there is no preference, meaning you can mix and match brands from your primary series to your boosters.

• At this time, no changes to schedules for children ages 6 months through 11 years. A monovalent booster 5 months after the primary series for 5-11 year olds is still recommended. No boosters are authorized for children under 5 yrs.
